
Hasn't voted | I chose to climb this in February 2008. This was a significant snow year in the Cascades. The route up the 9 O'clock coulior looked much different then what it looks like in the picture on this site. Approximately 150-200 inches of snow in the crater, not sure how deep on the couloir, but was very deep, and unstable. I do not recommend attempting this route when temperatures are mild, especially with a heavy snow pack. This 45 degree climb becomes very tiring and dangerous. Nearly constant rock, ice, and snow falling off crater rim. |
