Thanks Courtney, For some reason, it kept locking up on me everytime I would push the edit button. This is a great ice climbing area if you ever make it up to Northern Utah during winter.

I've been meaning to get up there the last couple of seasons, but have yet to make it. Somehow, I doubt it's gonna happen this year either.

...even though I've never climbed on ice. Great info, and the photos illustrate nicely.

DeanThe tram

Voted 10/10

I remember riding up the tram at Bridal Veil Falls back in the 60's when they had a small restaurant on top. Incredible engineering feat to put that tram up but it marred the mountainside of course.
The mountain got angry and wiped the tram out and a gift shop out on Jan 1, 1996 (it used an avalanche to do it). There are a few pics HERE that are worth a look.

Thanks Dean, I never had the opportunity to ride the tram. At the time, the tram was thought to be the steepest in the world with an average angle of 45 degrees. It doesn't surprise me that an avalanche wiped it out because it is such a steep mountainside.

Thanks Dow, I am only able to make it to Provo Canyon a few times a year but am always impressed by how beautiful it is. I think you will like the area too.
