Great hike!

The description is absolutley correct. It's a much more scenic alternative to Echo Mountain than Lower Merril Trail. The Sunset Ridge Trail high on the east side of Millard Canyon is stunningly beautiful. The roar of Millard Falls can be heard all along. An important note: on hot days the Sunset Ridge Trail is mostly in the shade while the Lower Merril Trail is scorching.

	Hasn't voted	Thanks for commenting. It is one of my favorite trails and for a longer hike, you can just go from Echo to Inspiration Point. It is "stunningly beautiful" isn't it for something so close to the clutter below. Thanks for mentioning the shade factor; very good point!
