You might wish to clarify. The Paleozoic limestones are much older than the sandstone, and were overthrust. The sandstones actually represent Mesozoic subaerial dunes, and are not marine. The sandstones are the pretty red rocks in Hidden Valley, e.g. at the base of Muddy Peak in one of your photos.
