Something worth mentioning on your page is that the respected Beat poet Phil Whalen worked as a fire lookout atop Sauk Mountain back in the 50s.

This mountain is a familiar summit to generations of Washington hikers. A few scraps remain from the old lookout referred to in the prior comment. Minor correction: the location is Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Mount Baker National Forest merged with Snoqualmie National Forest about 20 years ago.

Thank you, you are absolutely right! I have a USFS map which I should have looked at before--I am in a rush. Only then some foundation traces, last year, then.
