Hasn't voted | Have a look at the homepage of Erzherzog Johann hut. Surely the Stüdl hut is the more senseful starting point but you reach the ridge from Adlersruhe in 1 1/2 h. | |

Hasn't voted | I add the opening informations. But have a look at the Homepage of Erzherzog Johann hut. One route possibility is also Stüdl ridge (more senseful is Stüdl hut as starting point). You reach the Stüdl ridge in 1 1/2 h from Adlersruhe. I added some more new informations. Have a look. | |

Voted 10/10 | Hofmannsweg was replaced by Salmweg as standard route from Heiligenblut to Erzherzog Johann hut (due to icefall and big crevasses) - but Meletzkigrat (aka Glocknerkamp) is a very nice climb | |

Voted 10/10 | I have just descovered,that I have printed many info from SP before my trip to Gross between April and May..and one of them was your page:))) really funny:)) I think the trail via Stuedl-ridge is the most impressive:) I would like to make it someday..So my trail from Kals parking to EJH was less difficult but tired..during 8 houres we made above 2000m oveheight..with big,heavy sacks;)with stop in Stüdl hut.Snow conditions were so good that I hadn't even seen any crevasse.. I think the best season for climbing this route and trail via Pasterze glacier is spring! | |
