So how close to Ball Butte can you get right now? I've been wondering how this would be for a snowshoe hike.

Not sure actually. I hike/skied in from what was basically Tam McArthur/ Park Meadow Trailhead. I was able to drive to approx. 1.5 - 2 miles from Three Creeks Lake on Rd 16.
My guess is, round trip, about 14 miles or so (?).

From Dutchman's flat may be shorter/quicker, maybe more like 10 miles round trip or less.
Though I chose the other way, knowing I'd leave the snowmobile accessible area behind much more quickly. Broken Hand would be another place I'd check out right now. It's closer than Ball and has better overall views.

When you edit this page, you can enter the lat and longitute data, and it will automatically make a topozone link for you. summitpost uses that data to show other mountains in the area.

You can do something similar for your http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/247098/Kahiltna-Dome.html page.

Making pages on summitpost is both fun and addictive, and the people here want to help you make your pages better.

If you are still working on this page, make the name field:

Ball Butte (Under construction).

That way people will know you are still working on it and won't vote until you are done.
