Hasn't voted | Is it possible to drive this road to the top of Santiago? Or does the mileage mentioned along with the elevation gain of 5500 feet represent walking on the road? If so, where do you park to begin the actual hike? Sorry, I guess I'm not clear on this. I'm only interested in Santiago Peak so I'm trying to determine the best way to access the peak with the shortest hiking effort. thanks... | |

Hasn't voted | Yes this is a drive up route and I think the quickest from north. I think as a hike it would be pretty long, Holy Jim would be better. But i think for mountain bikes it would be a excellent challenge. I know there is some peakbagging riders out there myself included so that was my main motivation to create the route. I'll have to touch this page up. thanks theron | |
