Good interesting info on this one. I have hiked Pinto Valley (the approach route) half a dozen times (from the east and the west). I have wondered about, but never got to Guardian before. In regards to your statement, "I believe one could ride a mountain bike for most of parts (1) and (2);" two of my brothers, a brother-in-law, and I mountain-biked in as far as where the east and west branches join together to form Boulder Wash. About ten years ago my brother and I hiked up to the source of Sandstone Spring. We should have summited Sentinel while we were on it. :)

Wow, I never expected to get a comment so soon on such an obscure place! I am hesitant to make some of these areas public knowledge, but I felt pretty safe with this one! I figure only die-hards with a local knowledge will take this seriously!

Thanks for the mountain bike info.

Thanks. Obscure enough for me.

Great read, great info, great pictures. One of the best pages I've seen in some time. I almost felt as if I was out there.

And great idea-- rugged, remote, seldom-climbed but doable in a day. Sounds perfect for me. I love seeing (and making) pages on peaks like this one.

Thanks -- It's a whole different mindset from peaks in the Sierra.

I must agree that this is one of the best pages I've seen in awhile. Excellent.

Thanks CP. I don't know if I'll get out that way again before the heat is on. The Mitchell Point trip trumps everything else.

... no, probably THE best page I've seen in a long time. A geology map, no less. Nice wildflower photos, with the flowers identified. Excellent route maps. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Probably some other very obscure place! I want to add a simple route alternative for one.
