Voted 10/10 | Kiefer ... The "old" Twin Owls parking area is closed and has been replaced by the new Lumpy Ridge Trailhead. This new trailhead adds about three quarters of a mile to the approach. The turnoff to the new parking area is located around a half mile, or so, east of where County Road 43 (the Devils Gulch/Glen Haven Road) turns east at the entrance to McGregor Ranch. The "predominant intersection" you mention in your description is the intersection of Highways 34 & 36 & 7 at the traffic signal on the east edge of downtown Estes Park. Good page ... thanks. Hasn't voted | Thanks, Jim. I'll make the changes! I was wondering the other day why it was closed. I figured too much commotion from climbers to the raptors in the area. | |

Voted 10/10 | Actually, it was closed due to the limited amount of parking, and problems with people parking and trespassing on the ranch property. Thanks for making the changes ... you're right the new trailhead has a lot more parking and the restrooms are much, much better. Peace, Jim | |
