
Hasn't voted | Kadee, did you hike to the summit the page describes? You probably did since you read the page first, but I'm just asking since topo maps do not mark the actual summit and instead indicate a lower summit a bit to the east of the real highpoint.
Anyway, the guy (Jay) who placed the register placed it beneath several decent-sized rocks so it would stay in place. My best guess is that a local perhaps removed the register, not wanting the peak to be "known" or marked. Or maybe lightning blasted the cairn and the register away! Or maybe there's a grizzly with a really bad stomachache!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the peak and all that remote wilderness you see to its north. I'll be out there again next summer-- just can't get enough of the Absarokas.
