Hasn't voted | Thanks Nomad The glacier was a delight to see. It can be reached via a 22 Km hike from Varengeh Rood Village. The Varengeh Rood Valley was truly wild and breath taking. The picture that you mention shows the valley of the Kholeno Lake (which is to the west/northwest of Kholeno). I am sure snow remains year round on some of the slopes in the kholeno Lake valley. The glacier, however, is in a valley directly to the north of Kholeno. You can not get there from Kholeno Lake. I have identified the glacier on this map here: See Map. | |
