Bob SihlerAnother nice job

Curious-- what does it mean that the trail is "well ducked"? Is that a local term for a cairn? I am imagining rubber duckies marking the trail!

Bwahaha! Yes, Bob - cairns. I have yet to figure out what "duck" means. :/ As I am seeing them, I am thinking to myself "duck, duck, goose....." But true, little bright yellow ducks would help in some areas. Thanks!

DEFINITELY should have read your write up prior to my adventure. I think going around the east side (right at fork)of Gold Hill seems shorter as the roads circumnavigate it anyway and it is probably less confusing as there aren't as many "other" roads to distract (see Climber's Log).

Yes there are many off-shoots along the way - I followed my "heart" and found it no problem, although trying to get to Ken Point from Butterfly was SOMETHING ELSE!
