Voted 10/10 | I love these pages of the Smokies "lesser Known" peaks. Albright Grove looks like an amazing place to visit and will definately be near the top of places to visit the next time I get to the Smokies. Good job! Added a section on the 'Great Smoky Mountain' page for it. Cheers! -Dan | |

Hasn't voted | From looking at the Trails Illustrated map of Great Smoky Mountains National Park I'm not completely convinced that Maddron Bald is an actual peak. Is it possible that an area could be listed as a bald because it is an open area or rhododendron heath instead of an actual summit? To me Maddron Bald appears to be located on a ridge of Inadu Knob. | |

Hasn't voted | A reasonable question. North and east of Hwy 441 there are really only two massifs: LeConte and Guyot. Everything else is an arm, ridge, secondary summit or whatever attached to one of these (Maddron is connected to Guyot). By convention -- a lousy standard but there it is -- all these things have their own names such as knobs, balds or even "mountain." They're often destinations, as Maddron can be. You might start a discussion forum on the question, though I suspect we won't get much consensus. | |

Voted 10/10 | It was a bit of work getting up or down this one in the winter. I agree there isn't much of a drop when continuing up to Inadu. | |
