...for a page. It's nice to have excellent views for minimal effort. Mt. Wilcox (just down the road) is like that (although it's a lot more effort than Parker Ridge).

Could you see Mt. Bryce when you were there?

Cheers.

Thanks, Colin. Parker was a nice stop for some leg-stretching and scenery as we drove up to Jasper. I'd like to do Wilcox one day; my wife and I once hiked to the pass, but that was it.

As far as Bryce goes, I really don't know. I looked at the SP page and didn't recognize any of the views shown there, but they all seemed to be from closer to the mountain. For all I know, Bryce is in one of my photos of the ridges near the Saskatchewan Glacier (though I don't think so), but there isn't any way I'd really know, unfortunately.

Hey Bob,

I didn't see Mt. Bryce in your photos. Below is a link to a cool site and it shows Mt. Bryce from Parker Ridge. I took a photo of Mt. Bryce from Mt. Wilcox (I have here on SP). It's a awesome mountain that looks scary but I still want to climb it one day.

Thanks for that link, Colin. I must not have seen Bryce, then, because I imagine I would have photographed it. I wonder if it's visible from the end of the ridge near Athabasca. There's no trail there, and time (really, my wife's patience) didn't permit me to ramble out there. But yes, Bryce looks like quite a peak. Definitely a bit scary, but very appealing. I hope you get to climb it.
