the east and slightly north, across Laguna Salinas, is Volcán Ubinas, the most active volcano in Peru (right Scott?).

:) Nathan stayed a few days after Smiley left, he took the bus to Ubinas on Friday morning and was able to summit that afternoon. He said when he got to the top is was bad weather so went down a bit and waited for it to clear, then went back up and looked in the crater, very beautiful views but no camera! He came back on the bus the next day, standing room only. Vic
