Hasn't voted | I am a trophy husband for my wife, who is independently wealthy and patiently waits at home while I dash around the country, always on her dime, of course.
Okay, one look at a picture of me will tell you that's not true.
Perhaps I could say that living near D.C. is cause enough to get away as often as possible!
In truth, I am a teacher, and in the fifteen years I have been doing it, I have used my summers and two-week breaks around Easter and Christmas, plus some holiday weekends, to get out and see as much of this great country as possible. I've seen just about all the scenic areas of the country at least once (except for Alaska and Hawaii), and now I spend more time on the places I love best, which is why the majority of my summer-themed submissions come from Montana and Wyoming and Colorado and my spring-themed ones come from Utah and California (though I find your state fascinating and one of the best places to visit-- so much open, uncrowded, beautiful country).
So it's looking like Death Valley and Zion in March, and Montana in July. I just wish the calendar would speed up. |
