ZeddicusNormal route

Hi Digitalis,

I was wondering if you know if the normal route from the Albert-Heim hutte is still do-able these days? Hasn't the glacier receded too far to reach the sattel?

Thanks!

These days only with ski or snowshoes. at present there are a lot of snow. Indeed, the glacier has receded too far to reach the sattel. You've got to climb in the 2nd-3rd degree up to the sattel. There are some new bolt to saving. Similar by the Galenstock. some roped party turn around at this point.

If you need a map with route i can send you per mail. send me your mail adress per PM.

Cheers Cyrill

Hi Cyrill,

Thanks for the info! Good to hear about the bolts and 2nd-3d degree climbing. I was considering the route for a mountaineering course but the guidebook was quite old so this is very useful. Thanks,

Bart
