lonehikerGetting there (parking)

I did the hike up to Duff on the Oat Hill Mine Road trail this past Saturday (6/14)and found the dirt lot marked with no trespassing signs on trees around the edge of the lot. I parked on the street just below the lot as far off the hardtop as possible. I arrived very early in the morning so there was no one around to ask. The brochure & map at the trail head says on-street parking only.

A state park representative noted to me that there was no problem parking in the dirt lot kitty-corner to the dirt lot at the trailhead. That one is definitely verboten, although people park there as well. I have never had any trouble leaving my car all day in the southwest lot. I will double check on the parking. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
