Also, regarding the descent - you can rap using one 60m rope from the tree into a third class gully to climber's left, which is a fairly easy downclimb.

There is also a second pitch (described in Supertopo).

Yes, I've done the second pitch twice - there is a big manzanita with slings to rap off, or you can keep going to some stuff above (Mike was interested in that, but it started to look like rain, so we just decided to stop there).

I just looked in the Yosemite Free Climbs falcon guide (Reid) - now I remember - Mike wanted to TR the 5.8 offwidth above the second pitch. Twisted, lol :)
