Hasn't voted | Thank you. The Longfellow Range is great. Can't compare in height to your western peaks, but you start a lot lower so it's still a decent hike. Backpacking is the best way to lose yourself in these beautiful mountains. Plus, you get to walk on the AT. | |

Voted 10/10 | I've hiked on the AT in GA and TN and it's really a nice trail. Actually the elevations of peaks in WA and Maine aren't too far apart, since we are at sea-level too. The Olympic Range is only 7,969 at the highest elevation, but is incredibly steep, and vertically taller than most peaks in Colorado or Montana. Eastern peaks aren't as steep, but do offer the elevation gain of the Olympic Range, so I enjoy that:) Backpacking is awesome! Can't go wrong there:) | |

Hasn't voted | The Horn gains about 2200 feet which is pretty typical for New England 4000 footers. Maine has its own character; it's wilder and has some of the most rugged terrain on the whole AT, especially Katahdin. | |
