Voted 9/10 | Christian, I am glad you made a page about the Trilogy -- "El Triple". I only made one earnest attempt to do the triple in succession, and got cliffed out heading down from the Agua summit to the Alotenango town center. It was a pretty big bummer as I felt I was in good enough shape to do it at the time. Unfortunately, I have only climbed Fuego, Acatenango and Agua on two separate trips and still haven't been able to do them all in one go. | |

Hasn't voted | Triple = Acate - Fuego & back to Acate again Trilogy = Agua - Fuego - Acate I made it twice, and 2 more attempts without good results. Trilogy is a real crazy thing hehehe. I met the climbers who made the trilogy for the first time, early '80s. They are old guys now. When they done the firt trilogy, they back by foot to the Guatemala city. Trilogy plus 55 km more in 4 days!!! | |
