Hasn't voted | Interesting name, indeed. I have serious doubts in regards to the name having anything to do with "Fleetwood Mac." The rock was discovered and climbed over thirty years ago. At that time, people didn't climb 5.13 slabs, but they did see the potential. The potential did become reality when "Games Without Frontiers, 13a/b" was put up in the early 90s. I think the name "Future Games Rock" was conceived by the early climbers who found the formation. I started climbing on it in the early 90s as well. Voted 10/10 | Fleetwood Mac released an album in 1971 titled "Future Games". Never thought much about that title until I saw your page. I'll have to give the title song a listen and see what it's about. | |

Voted 10/10 | ...is another excellent climb there done by Herb Laeger. Climb Invisibility lessons 'till just through the crux. Here one can traverse left on thin face holds about 10 feet and then follow thin cracks and seams straight up to the top. Tiny to medium stoppers and tcu's. Double rope technique recommended. 5.10b/c | |

It is called Invisible Touch. Also, Jan McCollum has told me several times that he and Mike Waugh did Invisibility Lessons at least a year before the FA and called it Bee Crack. Also, Jan and Herb shared in the bolt placements (on lead of course) on Hang 'Em High and we TR'd it then, I got the first lead the following season. | |

Voted 10/10 | Marc - Here's an obscurity for you. Climb Bendix Claws 'till you're just above the crux, about half way up, do a difficult traverse left and finish up the left hand crack. I did it around X-mas one of those years with Jan (Herb was probably there too..) We called it Santa Claws, but figured it had to be done previously, at least as a TR.. | |

Voted 10/10 | The cool thing about Future Games Rock is that every route follows a natural line. Even the nearly featureless slab of Games Without Frontiers follows a direct line of weakness to the thin seams which then take one to the top. | |

I had a hard time even sticking to any of the holds, never mind making a move. I will attach your comment about "Natural Lines" to the page. | |
