Thanks Marc! Delighted you think so. I'd go there again right away if it were possible. I think for a Californian it may be something like going to Mexico, or rather Costa Rica/Chile (a safer country, I mean)

Thanks Guys! I guess I am sort of vintage, aren't I? ;) As to the Parang/Paring, the range is easily accessible from Petrosani so why not drop in while on the way e.g. to the Retezat?

Yes, i remember, that when i was in Retezat, i've been in Petrosani because from Petrosani goes train to Lupeni.
