Rather odd flower was saw in Corniglia in Cinque Terre in Italy

like a passion flower, with growing with a bougainvillea to me. We have a bougainvillea growing by our front walk.

I guess there are 9 native to the U.S. but more in central and S. America. This is Passiflora Cerula or something like that from the Argentine/Chile. Looks like a colourful version of an artichoke interior to me. Pretty cool.
