Omak Mountain Road

The rugged, washed out road at about 4700 ft. The road closely parallels the creek for a long way, at some points the creek looking more like the road ditch. This creek likely often overflows the road. It was under serious repair by heavy equipment. We (I) drove past the Road Closed sign (because it was Memorial Day) and drove about a mile of rough, but regraded road until the impasse shown here. After this impasse at a corner, the road got better again. So once the crew fixes this section it should be drivable all the way to the top...until the next flood.
