That will be the day when I don gear like I see you here with. Way to go! 4th class, roped? Sure, I've done a bunch but most of my experience has been glacier slogs and athletic scrambles.

As far as your Buhl quote, very true. The flip side is that more experienced climbers may have misfortunes due to complacency or even over confidence

That climb was on a route called 'Theater of Shadows' I think it is a 5.6, perhaps?
I haven't been on any glaciers yet, period. I am looking forward to that sort of stuff, also.
Sounds like Buhl's quote can be applied to climbers of all abilities?
