One Gendarme Down....
Above the first gendarme with totally fun Class 3/4 scrambling on the Rock Route to Clyde's summit. Cecile and Iceberg Lakes looked very inviting on such a warm day. 30 Jun 07

That has to be one of the most outstanding photos I've seen in a very long time (looks like a lot of fun too). Congrats on a great summit(s).

It WAS great fun with moments of grit; definitely a most-do climb. Thanks for peeking in, hope you're having fun out there as well. :)

Oh My!!

Deb this looks like it should be on a magazine cover...It is so beautiful..the lakes, rocks, the snow & some green showing. Than you have your hubby which makes the shot I think...the colors he is wearing gives it a great contrast and bit of color splash with the natural surroundings.
It is really an amazing shot!
Thank you :)

I agree. Amazing clarity with the lakes giving a good perspective on the height. I can just see the headlines now!

you could have got him to look at the camera, but I guess he had other things on his mind! Stunning.

If he had naturally been looking up, sure. Staged shots are a bore....who is constantly looking up and smiling? fake
Surprisingly he wasn't watching ME to see if I'd fall off, but this section was pretty "tame" in our definition...it got much more interesting later on.

Are you climbing here without ropes? Possibly a silly question from this class 2 hiker. I just love your photograph! slowbutsteady

Nope, no rope; it really wasn't out of our skill level even if some low 5th class evolved every so often. We like the adrenaline! :)
