One at a Time

Like you Nick, I made it a point to put the mountains back in my life almost three years ago now. I'd climbed as a kid, going halves on a rope and walking through the doors at REI-Berkeley as often as possible. But then life's many opportunities distracted. Wish I lived closer to the Oregon border. But peak by peak, i get to pay my respects to the outstanding high points of Oregon.

Sweet Victory  Sucess!

I got back into climbing three years ago after a decade away. A lot has changed since then. Mainly the internet has brought so much information out in the open. The social networking via summitpost and peakbagger has truly opened doors to the remotest of routes.

I stumbled upon this little list called the Oregon P2Ks and was immediately hooked/obsessed. It has it all from technical rock to long glaciated slogs, beautiful and breathtaking alpine summits to ugly back woods mounds that you drive 8 hours to bushwhack 6 miles to complete. I have seen every inch of Oregon and it is beautiful.

I send a special thanks out to:
Dennis Poulin
Dean Molen
and Caleb Morris

Finally a very special thanks to my wife Abby for sharing me constantly with the mountains.
