Ortler / Ortles shining in the early morning light | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Ortler / Ortles shining in the early morning light behind the church steeple of Alt-Graun, the village which sank in the Reschensee reservoir.
If you look closely you'll see Cevedale to the far left of the glaciated peaks, then Königspitze and Ortler, Thurwieser Spitze and Trafoier Eiswand, Schneeglocke, Madatschspitzen and Geisterspitze. The ridge to the right front of the glacier peaks consists of Glurnser Köpfl, Plaschweller and Chavalatsch.

Voted 10/10 | I may once get to know names of all the peaks I saw from Ortler! I went back from Ortler via Reschenpass to Innsbruck, Munchen, Pilsen and Prague. Reschenpass was the last time I saw Ortler. You reminded me that nice memory with this picture. Thanks, Tomas :) | | Posted Oct 6, 2008 2:25 pm |

Hasn't voted | Glad to have been of service :-) I had the luck to spend two days right opposite of these mountains across the Stilfser Joch pass road - the Trafoi panorama trail and the Umbrail - Punta da Rims traverse. Both days we had perfect weather. Thus I had plenty of time identifying these peaks which actually is far from easy given the complexity of the ridgelines. | | Posted Oct 6, 2008 2:43 pm |
