Hasn't voted | I've been near such a lake once too.. We were sitting on the opposite side of the snowfield. Suddenly a huge part of the snowfield broke off, over the full length. The resulting flood wave took our lunch and some shoes .. :-) The funny thing is, we didn't see the floodwave coming. I guess it was a deep lake so the wave travelled under water, near the shores of the lake something has to go up then again...
