boriskrielenRoute climbed: SE-ridge solo  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 2, 2014

boriskrielen

I started in Ouanasekra (2165m) > Tizi n-Addi (2960m) > SE-ridge > Summit > Cablecar down to Oukaïmeden resort (2630m) > Tizi n-Addi (2960m) > Ouanasekra (2165m). The SE-ridge looks easy but has some surprises. It's very long, which counts when soloing in deep snow, and I had to abseil at one point, because I stayed on the ridge. This can be avoided by a longer detour on the NE-side. Took me 11 hours round trip, mostly because of the knee to hip deep fresh snow and the long way back. Perfect weather conditions!

One thing that you should know about l'Oukameiden is that there you can make ski or snowboard, climbing to the top with a big choice of :

. 5 'tire-fesse' ( look about it in the french dictionary)

. with a dobble seat lift which is unique in Africa.

A second thing that you have to know is that there are neolithic paint near the mountain, with figures like 'suns' 'hunter' etc...

So good ski
