This is for super light back country wear. It is manufactored from desert cloth and has nylon mesh panels. The buttons are rubber, and include rolled up sleeve buttons. It has shoulder stretch panels, a mesh back yoke, and mesh side panels. It is rated for sun protection factor 30, and has a roll up collar.

This is a very expensive shirt which I got from REI. It has proven very heardy, and I have worn it in the hot summer as well as in the frigid cold. I really like this shirt because it dries so quickly, both from body heat in the winter, and sun in the summer. I got drenched while providing route protection at the "cables" on Mount Whitney in June 2001, but it dried within 15 minutes of leaving the "cold water zone." I have worn it on Mount Whitney and on Mont Blanc du Tacul, and is seen in my summit photos. Despite its perfection for the trails, it is also presentable in town. On the down side is the crazy price of $85, and it required scented washing to removed the ingrained body odor after wearing it for days at a time.
