HB Olympus Light, rigid, and easy to adjust, with a brim for additional side impact protection and shielding the face from sun and rain. An excellent choice for institutional use. Meets UIAA standards. weight: 15 oz size: One size
An excellent bargain of a helmet. Pretty light, very comfortable, good suspension system. Adequate ventilation - but then again, I pretty much only use it in winter when ventialtion isn't much of an issue. Decent system for supporting a headlamp. I particularly like the adjustment system. It's especially easy to use when changing from bare head to balaclava to heavier winter hat. It's a simple design. Nothing too complex or fancy. Good product at a good price. Chin strap is similarly simple and straightforward.
It's comfortable and light enough so that I don't even notice it during long days of ice climbing. I guess that's the most complimentary thing I can say about a helmet. You don't notice it until it stops something from piercing your melon.
I got this due to the low price from Campmor. It is an easily adjustable comfortable and light weight helmet. I have used it for lava tube caving, mountaineering and on rock. The only complaint is the headlamp support system with my petzl zoom. There elastic cord and hooks in the front and back. On the front one hook is right in the middle forming a triangular securing spot. This makes the top strap of the headlamp slip to the side some. The elastic gets stretched out after a while and then doesn't secure as well.
This is a pretty nice helmet for the price, Unfortunatly I have a small head so the brim limits my upward visibility. Seems tough enough and only shows cosmetic scuffs after a season of use. Headlamp works out nice in this. Have tworn this for strechtes beyond 5 hours and doenst produce discomfort Nice light, cheap, comfortable, and great helmet. I use it for general mountainearing
