DeanChock full of good stuff

Voted 5/5

I'd almost put this book in the same league as the Beckey Cascade guides and I have already spent many hours perusing the contents that are found within its covers. I have a big interest in Idaho mountains and this book really is a big help. If you are interested in any peaks in Idaho other than Borah Peak, than this is a good one to have. If Borah Peak is the only Idaho mountain you intend to climb, then save your money.

awilsondcThe Bible of Idaho Peak Bagging

Voted 5/5

If you climb mountains in Idaho, this book is a must have. The only thing that comes close to the wealth of peak bagging knowledge that this book contains is our very own summitpost.org. This book has it all.

This is the absolute defining work for climbing in Idaho. If you even want to climb in Idaho this book is a must have. It has everything from top to bottom about the state's mountains. I love this book and read it all the time, even when I'm not planning a climb.

Not without this you aren't. Tom keeps updates on his website, but a new edition of the book would be nice. My friends and I have found this to be essential to climbing, hiking and peak bagging in Idaho, especially for the Lost River Range.
