I'm a bit confused about the product we're reviewing here. Both Maxim (US) and Mammut (Swiss) are rope manufacturers and I'm not aware of a Mammut rope named Maxim?!
If we're talking about the Maxim (manufacturer) G50 (model) rope I can say from first hand experience that in 17 years of climbing this is one of the worst handling ropes I've come across. It's a serious cable and it has been cut short and relegated to the gym! Durability has been pretty good, but then the Gazelle doesn't fall alot.
