Big Agnes String Ridge 2
I have been very impressed by the String Ridge 2. The design is very stable and feels spacious thanks to the slight taper that provides more room in the torso area. The breathability is excellent; with the foot vent, screen, and fly vents open air circulates very well. When battened down, the temperature rises quickly and allows for a lighter sleeping system. The floor is very durable for a tent of this weight and offers much more security than a sil-nylon equivalent. It handled 40-50mph winds better than a dozen other tents this summer on Rainier, and cooking in the vestibule is a breeze. While it has a slightly higher rear profile than I'd like, the String Ridge 2 is a great lightweight mountaineering package that deserves consideration.
