Here's the spiel from the Red Chili website...

Red Chili"s original design has matured into a slip lasted performance shoe.

Using a semi-asymmetric last and medium midsole for support the Torro gives a superb mix of forward flex and good edging making a responsive shoe suited to all styles and grades of climbing. A slimmer continental last combines with a "dual speed lace" system, leather upper and slingshot heel to ensure a firm fit and minimal stretch giving great long term reliability. The Torro is our top of the range and with no compromise in construction, fit or performance whatever and wherever you choose to climb it won"t let you down.

NB - the price I entered is in British Pounds, not dollars!

This is the third pair of rock shoes I have owned, and it's quite a departure from what I have ben using up until now. The shape of the shoe and the quality of the lasting give a good degree of sensitivity, despite quite a solid toe box and forefoot. Edging characteristics are good, but a good balance between stickiness and durability has been acheived. I'm not normally a huge fan of slingshot heels, as they tend to irritate my achilles tendon, but these have padding around the edges which seems to relieve this. I have yet to form much more of an opinion of these, but I am enjoying wearing them at the moment. My toes may forgive me one day...
