Good boot, strange sizing
I have had several pair of Asolo boots and found that they all fit very different, despite being the same size numerically. I almost always wear EU 45, US 11-11.5, but these left at least a quarter inch at the heel if I put my foot all the way forward. They seemed okay when I bought them, but after I used them for a few days I really noticed the slippage. This was problematic for the calves when ice climbing and I ultimately sold the boots to a friend with bigger feet.

I like the built in gaiter; it kept the snow out for sure. They aren't waterproof but its usually not a problem when its frozen out. They are lightweight but keep my feet warm in temperatures down in the single digits.
