Windstopper® Fleece Pamir Glove

IMO, the best fleece gloves - period. I've owned two sets of these and have used them on many climbing and skiing adventures. They are warm, non-bulky, feel great, look great, and take a beating. They are also one of the few fleece gloves to have abrasion-resistant reinforcements on all 4 fingers, thumb, and palm. Most fleece gloves (Mountain Hardware, etc.) do not have reinforcements on the ring finger and pinky. Some of the stitching on the reinforcements did come apart when I used these to climb up the Half Dome cables route (does this count as abuse?), but nothing debilitating. I use these either by themselves or with a set of Marmot Gore-Tex glove shells. I purchased my second set just a month ago and got to compare with many alternatives. These seem to be available in black only during 2001 but were previously available in other colors (my other pair was red). If you find a red glove on the approach to Matterhorn Peak (CA), let me know!

Excellent gloves. Feels great and keeps you warm. Easy to work with.

They are very warm but not durable. I wore holes in the fingers scrambling on the Grand Teton this past summer They are also kind of pricey at $50.00.

Very nice and good looking gloves, only very expensive compared to their durability and quality. They are not really warm and windproof. Also, the reinforcements got f*cked up in Austria, but perhaps I abused them with ice-climbing. I will keep them anyway!

I like them had them for about a year are wearing badly on the finger tip (but all fleece gloves do if used to scramble) but the reenforcement on the palms has held up well. Real warm even when wet and nice fit. Worth every cent...
