One year ago, I stood at the same location at the sunrise, and remained totally hypnotized by this face.
This shot was taken almost one year later during daytime, when I was back in the area.

I guess the face is just unclimable, with rotten rock and loose snow. The ridge would already be quite challenging!

timing...It is just for reasons like this that it takes me so long to climb anything..always stopping and stairing at beautiful points along the way. What were you on your way to? Terrific shot...

Re: timing...With the risk to decieve you, when I took this shot I was just on my way home between Lhasa and Shigatse...
But around one year earlier, I took almost the same picture while on my way to Mt Qunyang in the Noijin Kangsang massif.
