Voted 10/10 | the Sierra I'd like to explore much more.
I was trying to identify Eagle Peak the last
time I passed through with my wife, but the
only one I could indentify positively was
Night Cap Peak.
Do you really see that many hikers in this
area, or do they all congregate in Yosemite
to the south and Lake Tahoe to the north ???

Hasn't voted | Sonora Pass is a fairly popular area. On the PCT there are always several hikers during the summer season at least. I usually see maybe a dozen or so hikers when dayhiking in the area. The Eagle Peak in this pic is way south from Sonora Pass. you can see Sonora Peak and Leavitt Peak from hwy 108, the highest peaks in the area. Sonora Peak is a fairly moderate hike with great views. | | Posted Aug 23, 2009 8:03 pm |
