The blooms were so heavy, the fields looked like they were literally painted. The photo is unmanipulated. Peak bloom in Antelope Valley, CA. Fairmont Butte in the background. Taken 4/13/08.

Are you aware of the sedative powers of
these poppy fields? Like in the "Wizard
of Oz," when Tin Man, Scarecrow, Lion,
Toto and Dorthy fell sound asleep. Did
you see a lot of folks passing out, or
were they drinking coffee? NICE pic!!!
