Pegmatite dikes- bends of lighter colored igneous rock, it is more resistant to erosion than the dark gneisses into which they intrude.

	Hasn't voted	Yes, it does, but it was in the shade... It is an impressive canyon...Some rock climbing there too, and often requires overnight on the rock...
