| sauers | 23 degrees and sleet ![]() Date Climbed: Dec 26, 2012 | |
| Did the hike to High Point from the Oak Grove Fire Station. Nice climb, but we encountered sleet, 40 mph winds and 23 degrees with the wind chill at the tower. | ||

| kavak | Palomar Divide Road ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 22, 2011 | |
| My wife and I drove to the gated service road just beneath the summit. There was one other car at this location and we hiked with them 200 vertical feet to the summit tower. The road was muddy in spots and would be problematic for a 2wd when wet as it is mostly wide enough for one car. | ||

| Iron Hiker | Hiked up from Oak Grove ![]() Date Climbed: Feb 1, 2011 | |
| Climbed from Oak Grove up the trail to Oak Grove Rd, thence to the Divide Road, then followed to High Point. A coating of snow near the top was very nice to see. Saw nobody the entire day. | ||

| benjamingray | High Point! ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 11, 2010 | |
| Part of an SDC peak roundup day - drove up Palomar at night after hiking Combs. Loooong dirt road, 2hrs RT driving time from the 79. Insane wind at the top scared me off the tower haha. | ||

| bechtt | High Point ![]() Date Climbed: Jan 16, 2010 | |
| Did the drive up to High Point on the Palomar Divide Truck Trail after hiking Rosa Pt earlier that day. Rough road made more interesting by doing it in the dark. Hiked up the remaining 200ft to great city light views. One of the tallest lookout towers I've seen -- easily visible from the peaks climbed the next day. | ||

| Mark Doiron | With My Mom and Dad Date Climbed: Dec 4, 2009 | |
| Had planned on hiking up to the summit, but my mom and dad (both in their 80s) decided they wanted to go with, so limited the hiking to the permitted areas around the observatory. Nice day in and above the clouds. | ||

| gfaulkner | Beautiful Day ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 1, 2009 | |
| Spent a wonderful afternoon hiking. Did the Boucher hill/Scott's cabin loop. Still a good bit of fall color. Ran in to some mule deer (Not literally). I was not typically San Diego terrain (That's a Good thing). Lots of poison oak! Great hiking/great place! | ||

| surgent | Up Palomar Divide Road ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 17, 2008 | |
| The road from the north in Aguanga was closed as was the road from Oak Grove, so we drove up the Palomar Divide Road. It went well. Drive up took about an hour, then a hike of about 45 minutes, then a slow drive down. All in all, not too bad. But I got lucky: the next day my timing belt in my truck went out! I shudder to think the tow cost if it had blown while up on this narrow road. | ||

| Alex Wood | Fun Hike ![]() | |
| I have done this hike many times over the years. But I have kept it legal, not too interested in getting in trouble for hiking up a couple hundred more feet to the highpoint. Go in the fall, it is amazing! | ||

| I love getting paid to hike and collect flowers. Finally made it to this very cool summit, much nicer then I had imagined. Then drove over to the Lagunas and hiked Monument for more flowers. Great long day. | ||
