Summit?  Sucess!

I think I was :)

I could not solo up the last 3m of the rock/ice summit due to hard wind and blue crunchy ice, after trying from both sides.

After checking the altitude on the highest point of the snow dome I noticed that it was 11m higher than the point I reached, so I assume the actual summit is just the highest part of the plateau, though the rock/ice summit is more fun :)

Nice  Sucess!

After attempting the Pulpito del Diablo, me and Andres Paez climbed the Pan de Azucar via the west side. Easy climb, although exposed b/c of single and in some places double cornices.

We could not see anything since it was a cloudy day!

Good climb!

Un poco dificil  Sucess!

Despues de intentar la ruta normal por el occidente, nos decidimos por buscar la cumbre en el extremo oriental del pande azucar, todo salio bien.

Azúcar glacier, summit via east side  Sucess!

This was my favorite climb during my trip to Colombia with Gabriel. After finding the easiest route up and across the glacier the previous day in our ascnent of Pulpito, we returned to try and climb up the west side of the summit of Pan de Azucar. <50 meters from the top, high winds and bad conditions fourced us to turn around. We downclimbed to the glacier and decided to walk around to the east face hoping for an easier route. Although more difficult, the wind and weather was slightly better and allowed us to summit. Took pictures and immediately descended. Lots of clouds blowing across so not clear. great climb and a great trip ~ viva la Colombia
