Overview

Queen Victoria is one of the most popular spires in Sedona. The summit offers great views of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon

Getting There

From the Arizona highway 89A and 179 junction in downtown Sedona, travel south for about 1/2 a mile to Schnebly Hill Road. Turn left on Schnebly Hill road and travel about 1 3/4 of a mile to a small pull out on the left. You will pass a Red Rocks kiosk/parking pass area. A pass is needed for parking. The pull out is marked by picnic tables and Queen Victoria spire will be on your left with Moose's Butte to the right of Queen Victoria.

Approach

From the parking area, your aim is the saddle between the Moose's Butte and the spire of Queen Victoria. Follow the marked trail from the picnic area to the left until you reach a wash on your right. Follow this wash as it gains elevation and heads towards the broad saddle. The trail hugs the left edge of the Moose's Butte for the final bit of gain to the saddle. For the most part, the trail is fairly easy to follow and is marked with some cairns. The approach should take about 45 minutes or so.

Red Tape

Red Rocks parking pass required for parking.
