Autumn in the Mountains...

As everyone already knows few experiences compare with wandering a mountain trail surrounded by the colors of fall. This album contains a collection of shots from the fall of 2006 that I had the opportunity to spend in the High Country of North Carolina. As the area is home to many species of tree that usually are found at more northern latitudes, the High Country has a wonderfully diverse display of fall foliage. Many of these photos were taken from the roadside or on short side trips. You don't have to be a hardcore hiker to experience the season. The beauty of autumn was around every corner.

Hope you enjoy!
