This past weekend I went to the arboretum on the University of California, Santa Cruz, campus, to take some picures of the protea. I think these flowers, which are mainly found in the Southern Hemisphere, are absolutely beautiful.

So if you have images of protea, please feel free to attach them to this album.

Thanks! The arboretum is a pretty amzing place.

There were a number of people wandering around with cameras in hand, big telephoto lenses and tripods. I was pretty happy with the results I got with my point and shoot digital camera. Relevant to the current discussion about manipulating images, I didn't manipulate these photos.

Great album! I use to work at the Arboretum, especially with the South African and New Zealand gardens.

You're lucky too have had a chance to work there. I find it hard to believe that I have lived here in Santa Cruz for over 23 years and until recently, have never been to the arboretum. A pretty amazing place!
