Denali Sunsets

Denali is truly a wondrous place to see the alpenglow of a sunset. On summer climbs, when the sun never fully sets, the sunset/sunrise can last for well over an hour, casting a wider variety of colors on the snow and ice than I've seen anywhere else. Perhaps some of this is due to the sun setting over the ocean combined with Denali's extreme height?

This album is meant to be a collection of impressive sunset/"night" photos on Denali, so if any SPers have some good shots, feel free to contribute!

Rick BWhat an album!

Super shots, album of the year :-) It pays to stay up late, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,

Thanks! Hopefully others can add some other wonderful Denali sunset shots here, as I'm sure there are a lot more out there.

Views like these are yet one more reason I'm going to try to climb more at night next time I'm in the range :-D
